Maybe it's just me, but it seems like every other topic in here has to do with drifting.. What car is better, which is more fun, how do you do it, blah blah blah....
Sorry for the mild rant, but would it be exersizing just a bit of intelligence to condense all those threads into one thread like: "DRIFTING! All ?s answered here!"

Forgive any misspellings.. It's late and my brain is running at 53% optimum capacity.

mrmephistopheles-
I share your pain...it's kina like the new sr20vs.ka debate...everyone wants to know what drifting is, how to do it, which is the best car, etc....

now that drifting seems to be the next JDM craze, everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon. I got a friend into it, and now that's all he thinks about...hatchi's rx7's, silvias, and drifting.

I think people just need to start searching the web....there's a lot of info out there...also, if you're in any of the major cities you should be able to find some option videos, download the initialD movies, etc.

I know that they're are probably a ton of websites all themed around drifting. In fact, I've seen a lot of them. I know that message boards are an awesome thing, but please ask after you've searched. in fact, you'll probably find more and better information on the net then you will on the boards....

while we're at it, we should probably note to all newbie and would-be "drifters" (quotes just for you ace hehee) that Initial D is a CARTOON! Based on the drifting cartoon, it's in no way real! anyone trying to do half the stuff takumi does will indeed end up either upsidedown,, with a mangled car, dead, or all of hte above.

Initial D is a cartoon meant to entertain. People that take it more seriously than that should be slapped, and screwed in an uncomfortable place... Live the back of my 240 hehee

All the stuff that happen on Initial d is just crazy nonsense. Well, People drift on roads worst than the ones in the cartoon but all that crazy dramatic is nowhere to be found and people don't race those damn roads like they're on a track, thats just plain stupid. You do find some crazy stuff happen at a touge though.
