Yesterday I noticed that my front tires have a large wheel gap. I've been trying to figure out over that past two days if I just NOW noticed this...or if something is up with my shocks or springs that made the gap larger over the last week or so.
Is this possible? Can bad shocks or any other suspension parts make your front wheel gap (on both sides evenly) larger? Maybe I just never realized we have a huge gap there. It is definately larger then the back wheel gap because I used an object as reference to check. Also, I have another question. I've ordered my eibach prokit to lower my car. I have stock shocks. My car has 62k on it, and I was wondering at what milage do stock shocks start getting kind of crappy. How much longer would it take to put the shocks on there while I am putting my springs on? If I got shocks I'd only want to spend around $300...proabbly no more then $350 for shocks. Can I get good shocks for that much? Thanks guys. Chance |

chimp already addressed the shox, so i guess i'll put my input in on the wheel gap. the front will just always have a larger wheel gap than the rear if the suspension is put on right (s14) b/c it was made like that stock. they just have the front fenders cut higher for some reason. i have a 2" drop basically on mine n the rear is supposed to be 1.8", but the front still has a little more of a gap.

Can someone give me a rundown on Tokiko's, KYB's, and KYB AGX shocks?
What's the difference between the two KYB's, is it only adjustability? Do I really need adjustable shocks? Is Tokiko or KYB a better brand? |

Okay here is the scoop on the shocks. First off, KYB makes the GR2's, which are basically OEM replacement. No adjustability. Next, there are the agx's which are adjustable. I believe 8 way in the back and 4 way in the front.
Tokicos are not adjustable, but they are considered performance shocks. These are the tokico blues. If I were you, i'd spend a little extra and get the agx's. They really aren't that much more expensive when you consider that they are a high performance shock that offers adjustability. You can play with the settings to take your ride from stock feel to track feel.
