coolant temp sensor is by where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine

it should have a red colored harness plug

You are definatley cleaning the TB the right way. Another trick is using an old toothbrush to get more of the carbon out. My old Pathfinder had the same problem, and amazingly enough the TB cleaning cured it.

hmm cant find any red plug. i see a brown one. can anyone take a picture of where on the engine its located. and how exaclty would u clean the cts? would i spray cleaner on it or like use a clean cloth and just wipe the plug?
