4 lug to 5 lug bolt on spacers..

i just got a set of them and i intstalled the rears today with rx-7 vert wheels and was just wondering if thay are safe to drift on thay are about 30mm. i installed them and after the car was back on the ground i shook the tire and i dont know if the side walls where flexing or if the spacer was moving, the spacer is a little bit bigger than the hub and the spacer is 2 pice the 4lug part bolts the the cars hub and the 5 lug part bolts on to the 4 lug part with 6 wheel stud thick bolts the 4 lug part is 25mm and the 5 lug part looks to be about 5mm or more.. what do you guys think just use them for dayly driving and put my stock back on for events or is anyone using the same ones for drifting?...

There is a famous drift car that runs 3 inch spacers which runs about 75~ mm, so yes its safe to DD those or Drift, i'd be more worried about your suspension from the way you talk hahah jk

good luck

man, can you edit your post so its more readable? I had to read it a couple of times to get the gist of what you were trying to say.
In short, most people do not use the 4 to 5 lug spacers, as a way to do a 5 lug conversion setup.
Its your call though. I have not heard of people drifting on them, but I am sure some have tried.

I have them, I'll try to get pics of them tonight. Works well for trying to fit high offset 5-lug wheels.

If you guys think about it for a second, what's the problem with this spacer adaptor?

There are guys running 25mm or even 30mm bolt on spacers which are 2 pieces. 1 piece goes on your stock wheel studs right on the hub, then the 2nd piece bolts to that first piece, with new wheel studs sticking out for you to bolt your wheel onto.

Same principle here for this 4 lug to 5 lug bolt on spacer/adaptor, except it has 5 bolts on the outter piece of the adaptor instead of 4 lugs.

The companny Wheel Adaptor, which has a website at www.wheeladaptor.com, makes these adaptors for dual trucks all day long, and those trucks see a lot more force at the wheels than you guys will on a drift/auto-x/road racing car seeing as they have to haul heavy shit everywhere with their trucks, and the trucks themselves aren't light. Not to mention, torque's what breaks things, and those turbo diesel trucks make ridiculous amounts of torque, low end torque, like 600+ ft-lbs @ 800 rpm.

So I'd say you drift on them all you want. Just make sure all the bolts/nuts/lug nuts are tightened enough before you do.

how wide is that wheel. seems kinda wasteful to spend so much on spacers when a few bucks more gets you 5lug hubs

My spacers were like $260 for the set. No way are 5-lug hubs that cheap.

I believe the adaptors sold on www.wheeladaptor.com are like $140 for a set of 4, customized to the customer's specs.

even priced through junkyards, it was difficult for me to find even just the front (S14) spindles for that price.

Just make sure you tighten all your bolts really well. I've been daily driving my 4 lug spacers for a year and a half. Only problem was I had a shimmy in the rear but found out I didn't torque a nut all the way. Just drive on them for a couple weeks untill you feel safe on them. I've done 30mph drifts on mine so I know they hold up..

Does your steering wheel shake when you go above 50mph? Are those spacers just lugcentric or hubcentric too?My old wheels need some spacers to flush out a bit...but it was only lug centric and it shakes pretty bad, that's why I have Riken now.
