As far as the books are concerned, and Fifty's "selling out," hey man, if I was in his position, I'd try to cash in as much as possible before I burn out, so I can live the rest of my life comfortably with what I've made. Life is too short and far too brutal to worry about being an artist if you have the capability of getting paid.

Besides, if the books promote reading & literacy among inner-city youth, I'm all for it.

Kanye said it himself that he is not that type of performer and he admits he's not a freestyle type of rapper. He said he wants to put emphasis on his lyrics and beats rather than how well he can "spit lyrics". (God I hate it when people use spit like that, not attacking you, just saying in general). Personally, I care more about what's being said than how well it was delivered.

This south rap shouldn't even be considered rap.
