They really need to revamp Superman just like they did batman.

Traditional Superman is nice, but how about a new costume/design?

Maybe make his tights into like, the XMen-Movie design.

Tidbits here and there make a difference.

wrong. this takes place 5yrs after the last superman where the world has moved on w/o having him around along with lois lane mayb moving on. so where does superman fit now that people dont need him. of course Lex [Kevin Spacey] will have a big role in trying to ruin superman once n for all.

i believe the reason they did not use Tom Welling is because hez protrayed as young superman in the smallville and only confuse those on the big screen. they were going to use him as young clark kent in the movie but then realize Tom is older than Routh probably and wouldnt match very well since they are so close to age.

been reading every news about Superman Returns for the past 3-4 months now. the Trailer aired last Thursday during the show SMallville

That looks gay. My brother's been into the superman comics forever and even he thinks it looks lame. Sochbat hit the nail right on the head. Update the friggin costume so atleast it doesnt look soooo much like a ballerina get up. And change the F'ING HAIR. Its 2005 for crying out loud(or 06 by the release date)! Nobody where's their hair like that. Excessive product with that annoying as hell curl thing. I hate that stupid curl thing. I mean seriously, WTF is that?! ITS NOT COOL.

And whats up with the actor? Superman should look like this

To me that says "Yes, i'm the man of steel and i will kick your ass if you step out of line."

The dude they chose looks like he's thinking "oh my, i hope i dont fly too fast and my hair loses its place."

as for the costume it is actually changed, slightly

they made the S on the chest smaller and also added an S on the belt. if i remember correctly the suit is made out the of the same material as the spiderman suit

movie has the highest budget so far at $326 million

The Earth's sun has obviously cause Kal-El to age out of order. He seems to have gone from a young man to Middle Age, and then back to a young man. Strange.

I just think they should really revamp that costume design. Something to really reflect realworld situations.

Then again, superheroes wouldn't wear fitted pants, supergrippy Nikes, and all that jazz. The spandex kinda justifies itself.
