anybody do aluminum welding with a propane torch? i have a couple small parts of aluminum that i want to weld and i hear you can use a propane torch to weld wire and probes with... can anybody help me out here?

that's not welding, that's melting.

Welding is melting too, what he described is soldering, where you heat up one metal enough to open up the pores, and the other metal enough to melt and go into those pores.

Welding is melting both metals, of the same, or simialar alloy and them becoming one piece.

no a propane torch won't be enough to weld aluminum.
