oops...

hit the wrong button and posted prematurely...

here's the whole thing

Probably with great difficulty

I'm assuming you're talking about installing a HVAC system that has a readout of the temperature that you want it to stay at?

If all the sensors and actuator hardware, along with the control unit (properly programmed) comes with whatever you're buying, then it shouldnt be too hard... Just a matter of placing stuff and wiring it.

What exactly are you buying?

Does the US models have the sensors and connectors necessary to do this install? Or is it a lost cause? I was considering doing this to both my '91 and '97 240SX's.

A bunch of us 2000+ Celica owners were looking into getting the japanese digital climate control for our cars and the conclusion was that we didn't have any of the necessary sensors and connectors like on the JDM version. So, it would have ended up costing a fortune in parts and labor.

As it wasnt standard equipment, they're not there...

So if youre gonna put it in, you'll have to do it ALL, from scratch as there is nothing there already to sense temperature or to change fan speed / amount of heating/cooling wanted.

So, its not a totally lost cause, but it would be a lot of work, and it may not look to pretty by the time you're done. And it'll probably cost alot

But nothings impossible

I've got the whole system temp sensors and everything. Came with the clip. I'm considering putting it in my car or selling it. If anyone wants more info on it you can e-mail me at [email protected]. Unfortunatly I don't frequent this forum very often so I would not get your questions if you post them.

PS HVAC system if off of a 98 180sx type X, S13
