Staggered Tire Size, just verify for me.
I'll be purchasing a set of 17 inch rims that are +35 offset. The rears are 9.5 and the fronts are 8.5
I'm wondering if i'll be able to fit 225 45 17 on the fronts and 245 45 17 on the rears without having to do a fender pull. I understand that the fenders will need a roll, but i don't want to have to pull just yet. Will these tires be ok? Tires are hankook ventus RS2's

How low is the car, and how much camber is there? Stock height will be fine, though it won't look very good.

Ulysses, those offsets probably won't clear coilovers. My 17x9 +20s BARELY cleared my KTS, I put a 10mm sandwich in there for comfort.
Oh, and stagger with your stock SR means undaaaa. |

Yea i was reading that the staggered will bring about lots of understeer. I'm just interested in these rims because they're affordable and i just want them for daily driving. These are definately not something i'll be taking to a track for drag or drift.
By the way, the car came with a fairly shitty suspension; Tein S-tech springs and Kyb GR-2 shocks..... seems really soft but i'm not doing anything with the car to warrant anything better at the moment. Think a 10mm space would do the trick? That would make them +25 offsets.

I can't honestly say that 10mm would be enough as I don't know the design of the suspension (suspension in this case referring to the sping/damper combo) well enough. I would think that 17x8.5 +10 would fit nicely and clear, and I would think that 17x9.5 +25 would clear.

one more noob question, sorry guys. If i have to use 10 mm spacers on the front to clear my suspension, will i NEED extended wheel studs, or can i use them without? I'm kinda hoping that i will be able to use 5 mm wheel spacers and use stock studs.

i have 17x8.5's all around with 25offsets and they clear my coilovers. Coilovers tend to have less clearance ability due to their beefier design. The 8.5s up front with a 35mm offset probably won't make it. Space em 10mm and you'll be fine. 225/45/17 is a good size for the front, however a 245/45 is just too tall. Perhaps a 245/40 would do better out back. I had 245/45 falke azenis all around on my car at one point, and the tire was just too damn tall -
