driveshaft doesnt fit my s14

while doing my manual swap.. my manual driveshaft isn't long enough.. is this due to the rear section of it?

is there anyway to make it fit? i'm thinking the rear drive shaft is abs while my car is non abs

I've heard different things. I also hear it depends on VLSD or not. A friend tried to use my old S13 tranny in his S14 (kinda funny that mine was in better condition) and the shaft was too long. He probably had VLSD. Don't really know for sure, but that might be part of it too. Hope you can figure it out soon.

is it possible to use a 95 non abs manual driveshaft on my 97?

the first section of the driveshaft is the same length on both manual transmission and automatic right?

and the 2nd section.. the manual ABS rear driveshaft is shorter than non-abs..

so i can use the 1st section of my driveshaft from my automatic with a used s14 manual NON-abs driveshaft for the rear piece?

No. Transmission splines are different. You need a manual driveshaft, ABS or not since the ABS is just a hair shorter it still works fine. Bolt it up to the diff, then put the carrier bearing bolts in.

On an S14, yes. Transmission is exactly the same fit wise as we've all said for the past eleven years. Chassis is what's different.

Search next time, don't be lazy.

is this the front or the rear part of the driveshaft?

are the Automatic carrier bearing bolts and differential the same as on manual so it'll fit on right?

Can't see the pic, but if you don't know which end of the driveshaft is which you need to stop what you're doing. That's actually pretty damn scary that you even asked.

And yes, the bolts are the same, you think Nissan makes a new floorpan for each model transmission to accept different bolts?

With the driveshaft in the back of the tranny, you should be able to see the input shaft in the bellhousing turning if you try to..

im having the whole vlsd swap non abs driveshaft too long problem, since the drive shaft is 2 piece, and u need a shorter driveshaft (ABS) is it possible to just replace the rear half of your drive shaft with an abs rear half? or would u need to replace the entire thing???
