Engine runs cold, new thermostat

Also has new radiator hoses & radiator. Factory gauge indicates cold, aftermarket indicates ~160*. Thermostat test out at 190* just as it is supposed to, but the only way I can hit that is sitting still.

Car had NO cooling fan on it. Put one on today, didn't fix it (didn't expect it to).

I need my heat, it is getting cold here.

do you know if your coolant temperature sensor or your temperature gauge is working good? you can test these by grounding out your cool temp sens wire when the ign is on. if you put a ground to it, the gauge should read to HOT...good luck
