You can just cut it and wire it off that end if you'd like. If not contact and apexi dealer for parts. http://www.apexi-usa.com/

im assuming the female apapter part just extends the wires to get it to the ecu? it looks like there is more wires in the female part after it connects with the male?
btw with wiring it did you just cut off the male adapter, extend the wires then matched it up to the correct colors using the wiring digram on the apexi website? thanks for the help

Yeah it basically allows you to disconnect it for easy removal. I didn't notice any extra wires other than the ones you don't need to use to install the device. Yes, match up the correct colors on the SAFC diagram and locate your ecu diagram and tap/splice the wires.. like RPM, MAF, TPS, etc..

I'm not sitting right by my car, so I don't remember. Just look at the diagram. I'm color blind and I figured out which wires were which.

Next time just look at it.
http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/18.pdf 7 wires: Red = power Green = rpm Gray = TPS Brown = ground (mount closer to ecu than black says manual) Black = ground Yellow = Airflow signal out to ECU White = Airflow signal into SAFC Not used, blue, pink, orange and a few others probably.

Ask and you shall recive. this is the installation document that coame with the SAFC ANd the caution says unhook - battery terminal before installing. witch is a GREAT idea:
![]() this is the american vehicle suppliment thet you have to search really hard for on the apexi website: ![]() |

yes the second one is for the S14 US model 240sx.
those are the only 5 wires you tap into for the KA. the air signal is spliced in. look at the diagram. signal goes into the SAFC and back out into the ECU. the second ground is hook up *****AT LEAST 3 INCHES********* behind the 1st ground notice how i emphasize it beause it will not work right if you don't do it that way. |

im a noobe at this so im still lost.....
so the second aird signal goes into the same port in the ecu as the first? and the 2nd ground is grounded on the same line but 3" or more behind the first going in the direction towards the safc? right? and obd1 and obd2 ecu diagram are the same? sorry for the stupid question

look on the right hand side of the diagram. notice how one says imput and the other says output? that is the kee. signal comes from you MAF into the white wite (imput) then gets edited by the SAFC and goes OUT the yellow wire (output) inot the ECU so the ECU sonly sees the edited signal.
if you can't get that you may want too look into getting someone else to help you out on this one. and the ground it in the direction AWAY from the ECU and 3+in past the connection of thre brown wire. it's best to use T splices to put this in. (1.99 a box at napa) |

i think i get it so the air press. would be some thing like this:
___ecu (maf)____ ____ ecu(box) ______________| | ______________| | _____white(input) yellow (output) _____________ ____ _______________^ _____________safc right? (dont mind white lines at far right had to use to space properly)

conceptually i tihnk of the mafs signal more like this:
MAFS--------SAFC-------ECU and stock is just like this: MAFS--------------------ECU the safc intercepts the signal and modifies it how you want based on throttle position and rpm. it basically lies to the ecu about how much air the mafs is reading. the ecu tells the injectors how much fuel to flow based on how much air the mafs reads, so if you modify the mafs signal, the injectors flow differently to match the signal. |
