Wow, i've never seen a cooler drift clip. The ammount of skill, balls and just pure crazyness of this dude drifting his 86 around the track is increadable.

Yeah, I think that massive amount of clutch work was to lose traction (and double clutching probably). I love how he drops the car off the track to further disrupt traction and keep it sliding. Its just nuts. And those AE's change direction so damn fast its amazing! I wonder how many years he's been doing this.

I got that entire video somewhere in my room. Its part of the female Ikaten drift tournament tape. If I remember correctly the body is not a AE86 but a AE85 and has a lot of reinforcing done. The engine was from a AE92 with a FCR carb setup. The car itself is not really that special but the driver is something else. I have a vid of him going about the same speed through the mountain and I think there was oncoming traffic there.

yeah, in the video it actually mentions it being an AE85 (SR5?) body. from the looks of it, he has a roll cage in there, which I imagine is absolutely necessary with the stuff this guy's doing.

Hey AE85/6 with AE92 engine -- sounds a lot like Shelby's car! (The 86 that came to the LA cruise) And yes, that driver is amazing--to say the least!

Actually the AE85 and the SR5 is different. The AE85 in Japan comes with a 1.5 liter 3a-u engine and produces about 80HP. If i'm not mistaking the SR5's have 4AF engines. Its a pretty common swap since most of the AE86 have beat up chassis now days. I don't know if HKS still make them but they used to make a 5AG kit and if you piece together different engines you can make a 7AG.
