s13 Pls help, 240sx Fenderliner clip differences? 89-90 vs 91-94

Hi everyone,

This may sound retarded but i think they may be different as they simply wont fit the fender liner.. my s13 is year make 1990.. so 89-90 model..i installed those 91-94 fenders and bumper.. all fits great.. now i have brand new 89-90 fender liners from Nissan.. and holes and etc.. match up on the fenders.. but i'm using of course my 89-90 hardware.. in particular clips that mount on the fender now dont fit the fender liner.. basically fender liner cannot slide into a clip fully, perhaps clips are different on 91-94 models? i think its 4 clips per each fender well, can anyone confirm this?

Many tks!!

Here's a stupid question. Did you take the old clip out of the holes on the fenders? If they're still in there, and you try to put the new clip in, obviously it won't go in.
