89 240sx problems....help if you can

okay so i have searched and have not found what i am looking for, hopefully someone has dealt with this and found the cause and can help me, here it goes..
Question #1: i was driving home and after getting gas look down and the tach and temp guage wasnt working, but they were minutes earlier thats the weird thing... any answers to what it might be..what i can check?
Question #2 then another problem, it feels as if fuel pump shuts off every once in a while when driving after car warms up, basically will be driving along fine then no power at all, I think it may be the fuel pump if not then do you have any suggestions?

search on here to find answers and similar problems you are experiencing, and how to diagnose it yourself and pinpoint it closer to what you are describing.

IE: if it were your fuel pump, the car would stall, or bog heavily. For the guages, check your wiring.

okay so i figured that the tach and temp guages not working is electrical...where should i start, is there a fuse that controls that side of the guage cluster labeled under something else? exampla my friend has a bmw and he said his speedo shares the same fuse as his brake lights, or something along those lines. the stumble will only happen when im accelerating and the car is warmed up, basically ill be going along fine then the car just dies, cuts out, press the gas and nothing, so i am thinking etiher ignition or fuel.. Ill be checking everything that i can think of off the top of my head but this is my first experience with a 240sx. I also dont have a service manual so that doesnt help me any.

within the next week i will probably get spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, and oxygen sensor. see if that helps any with the cut out, basically feels like you hit the speed governor but going like 45mph..only happens when accelerating harder. as for the guages...i remember hearing some clicking under the dash area, but didnt think anything of it. perhaps a relay for those guages went out?? does anyone have a wiring diagram for the guage cluster? thanks
