Now that I see it on that miata, it makes me think that it can work with a smooth/round body style, like that of the S14. Why cant they do 17?

I think we should take a poll. Id definitely be down for 17s even if the offset isnt perfect like the other sportmax 17s.

Hell, ask them if they can do 17s, you'd have much more interest I think. I still want to see these on an S14 or something, before I'd think of buying them.
