Kouki cluster to Zenki? Extra wires leftover - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I did a search on this earlier and did not turn up the specific info I am looking for. So here it goes I wired a kouki cluster into my zenki most wires are all self explainitory, However I have some left overs that have me puzzled and just want some opinion on them from those that have done it.

On the Kouki plugs the wires left over are:
Red W/green stripe
Green W/blue stripe
Red W/ either green or grey (the stripe is so so small you cant really tell what color it is.

On the Zenki harness side the wires left are:
2 blacks
red W/white stripe

All other wires matched up exactly. The Kouki I took the cluster from was an automatic so I was expecting to have like a O/D wire leftover and such just seems a little excess left over. Again Zenki is a 5 speed kouki was a auto. I have 6 wires left over. Anyone know what the deal is?

The car is currently in form of dismantle so its not easy to hook a battery up and check everything so I would like to shed light on this before going through all that.

Someone help me out here please

Trace the ones from the cluster on the printed circuit board, you'll find where they originate from. For the harness side, use the FSM. I can tell you that the black wires are grounds, the Zenki cluster has a few extra since there's an extra plug. Just tie those to another ground in the harness.
