THIS IS NOT MY CAR...but I had saved these pics when I was thinking bout doing it. If you want to get an idea just take your headlight cover off, it will give you the same effect.

At the track last weekend, we had someone rent the PFM Racing ITA 240SX for a double drivers school and regional race. At Gateway, coming off the NASCAR oval onto the roadcourse at turn one, he mismatched the 5th->4th downshift at 109mph, and slid backwards into the tire wall. Here is the aftermath:

The the car was towed in and checked out. The alignment was unchanged, and nothing was bent, so I BFH'd the fenders back a bit, and ziptied the front fender back on, and with a little duct tape sent it back out.

The renter won E-Production, and improved greatly for his first ever on track experience

The owner placed 2nd in ITA against a large field of very fast Spec Miatas (running in ITA for points)
