speedo help

ok i have an automatic harness in my 5spd and my speedo doesnt work i found out that thwires that go to the speedo from the speed sensor arent hooked up i went to hook it up and i have no idea were my speed sensor is if any1 can help me plz dont be scared to write back thx

Download the appropriate FSM from zeroyon.com and look for it in the EC section. It's called a Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).

speed sensor is in the middle of the tranny held in by one bolt. Are you using the auto sensor on the 5spd? If so, I dont think it would work properly. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

the auto vss doesnt even fit in the mt tranny, i tried using it when i found out we accidently ripped th wires out of the vss. you dont even really need the speedo

See, I knew for some reason it wouldnt, but just like you, thought he should give it a shot. xKa24detx is right though, you dont need to use the speedo. Im only using the tach on my SR (cuz I forgot to swap the damn KA 5spd sensor) and Im fine...just scary around cops, but just go as fast as everyone else. He cant pull over the whole damn road can he?!?!
