take it apart and figure something out. It's gotta have loose bushings or somethign, so figure out how to make them tight again.

Someone showed me that trick about a year ago and the mirror is about to survive another Texas summer unmoved!

I have something similar to that but since my exhaust is so loud the vibrations move the mirror out of place to where I originally had at.

i had a problem like this. my tightener screw thing is broke off inside the mirror, so i just filled the ball joint hole with superglue. obviously you cant adjust it but who cares i mean how often do you move the mirror anyway, as long as it stays in place.

or you can just remove it like i did. since im over 6 ft tall removing it really cleared up my path of vision and it isn't even that important to me. whenever im backing up i turn around and look out the hatch.
