weight savings? w/ cast wheels i wouldnt worry about it
get some forged wheels if u really care about weight savings.
yeah it hurts the budget but all cast wheels will mostly be w/in a bit of eachother and then w/ the tire u want...some tires are heavier then others

if u care about weight you wouldnt be rocking cast wheels.

well the wheels Im planning on getting are the ssr type c or type c-rs, which only weigh about 14lbs for the 17x8 and the 17x9 are about 15lbs. But after reading all of your responces i think i will go with the 17x9 but now which offset should i go with. Now before you guys go crazy about really low offsets, that doesnt matter to me I just want them to fit and not stick out to much. Im running 20mm larger front fenders, and only if i have to i will roll the rears, jic FLTA2 coilovers and stop tech big brake kit w/ z32 in the rear. Thank you guys again for your help.

wide fenders?
depends on camber
but definitely +21 and a 10-25mm spacer depend on the camber and tire size and what u want.

yeah you will most definately need spacers if you are running wide fenders...

i think it's gonna look weird though if you have wide front fenders with decently flushed wheels and then stock rear fenders...it's gonna look off...

maybe go back to stock front fenders?

Instead of rolling the fenders someone told me a trick so you dont rub you're tires, if you cut the inner rim thats inside of the rear fenders with either some metal shears or a electrical grinder, you slice pieces of metal to half of a inch and then with a rubber malet you hit those pices of metal intill there somewhat flush. I have done this on my S13 I dont know if any S14's have that piece of metal which I stated that the S13 has in the fenders. But its a cheap man's way to avoid paying 50 bucks for each rolled fender. trust me Zero offset wheels and blown shocks= sick tire rubbing.

its free when u use a hammer and muscle

only dummies use the fender roller or pay someone
takes 10 mins
and it DOESNT crack the paint (on the outside)
has the same effect as fender roller

pay 20 bucks and get a propane torch and it folds faster and easier.

How about with a bat? I saw that crap on stupid street. With a hammer it can be done but you got to be real carefull because the nissan fenders are tough as fuck so you need good hand and eye cordination

i wouldnt use a bat
nissan fenders are tough as shit maybe you need to hit the gym.

i used hammer on some peoples cars. you cant even tell form outside i did. its faster and just as good as a rip off fender roller. which i own as wel but never use anymore.

bats are better for pulling, not rolling.

Does the 240 community frown on using Cobra's? Cause here in Wisconsin Cobra's are everywhere. I actually found 2 sets of 4 lug cobra's at work today just asking around. And I actually like the simple design of Cobra's.

have you read the thread?...lol..

everyone i know has used a hammer initially...lol..and then if you want it actually pulled you use a roller...

keep in mind...the only thing this guy needs to do is get rid of the annoying little lip on the inside of the fender...he's not trying to pull his fenders or anything...

one example:

Yah, just to clarify. Mustang wheels are 4x4.25 bolt pattern. They don't work without spacers. Or you can go 5 lug and use 5 lug Cobras.

240= 4x4.5
Mustang= 4x4.25
Result= No worky

In case anyone was confused.

What size spacers would be needed? And about what price would I be looking at for the spacers? Lol added up I could probably just buy some better rims.

Pllease dude, what kind of question is that. why would you care what someone else thinks, if you like it do it. you could go put an aluminum wing on your car and stickers all over your windshield and I still wouldnt care, as well as many people here, the ones who do care are just whiny bitches who have nothing else to do but whine. If you like em then put them on your car. Great minds don't think alike, they think for themselves.

yeah i knew that...I was just joking around.
Actually, I think you've convinced me to go grab a hammer and just start hammering my fenders. I assume this will work with the front and rear fenders. I've got a heat shrink gun which should help some.

As far as spacers go...you'll need the +21 offset to clear coilovers and since you said you "just wanted them to fit, and not stick out" I say forget the spacer for now. Put them on your car and if there not flush enough for you with your camber settings and ride height then figure out what size spacer you need and buy it!

for anyone that likes the cobra wheel's and needs 4 lug, eagle alloys makes a cobra replica wheel i have been considering. it's called the eagle 168. it's offered in 17x9 +23 in chrome, silver, or polished, so says this website here:http://www.bigwheels.net/?location=w...el=Eagle%20168

that will worky hope that helps someone out......

found that on carolinanissans forum. guy has coilovers and 205-60's. i personally like the meshie's over all choices, but the cobra's would look good too i think.
