My vents in my S14 started having issues. Every time I hit the button to change where I want the vent's blowing, the electronics started making a clicking noise like something won't allow the vents to move into their given position. Currently, it is fine as long as it is set to blow from the high and low vents, but for any other position (defroster/low/whatever), the clicking starts.

The check engine light recently came on and when I had Autozone check for the problem, the told me it was a ventilation issue.

Can anyone tell me if having the vents malfunction in the way they are would actually throw a code? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how I would go about fixing the issue?
