Me personally, Im all about style. (thats what i love about the 240 ) as long as you back it up with performance.
If it looks good without being cheap or tacky looking, then do it.
BlueSix, i think what you did with the gtr badge looks pretty #### cool! Although i would DEFINATELY swap it for a nissan badge. Also i would turn it 90 degrees so that it reads straight across. But i think it looks great!
The neon on the doors looks a little much, but you said the pictures make it look brighter than it is.
Also, how did you do that to your gauges. They look really nice. A friend of mine has been trying to figure out how to do that for awhile now, and no one seems to know.
I agree with you it is a little border line ricey, but it looks good. You've also put some money into performance and suspension mods which proves that your not all about the appearance of you car. I wouldn't go much further with the interior, but i give a thumbs up!

took the word right out of my mouth
i guess that im slacking on reading the new threads

I saw the video file and pics, honestly I like it a lot. I really like driving my car at night, cause that's when my interior looks the best. And I only have the $600 deph pioneer cd player, with those graphics. I had it for almost a year now, and I haven't gotten tired of it one bit. I really like your guages too. Ever thought about those neon pedals you can see for sale on ebay? Neon in the interior is cool, but I'm not a fan for it on the outside.

CarbonFiber Gauge Overlays
HyperWhite Gauge Cluster Bulbs
Intelliglow Blue Needle Kit

If anyone needs help installing these please let me know as I took pics of the entire install, and can add some hints on installing them that aren't in the instructions. Everything was super easy to install if you are just patient.

Again I got EVERYTHING for my gauges at www.importintelligence.com

come on, stop being politically correct. That interior is straight from the rice steamer, umm fresh steamed rice. Why do you have a push starter? Is it a race car? no, you just want to show off. Put in your key, push button, or put in your key, turn key, what's the difference! Just my $.02

uh, making your car look nicer is not rice. rice is adding stickers and emblems, and electric turbo sounds, or a plastic/cardboard intercooler, big ass battle wings, big ass body kits(talking about the nonfunctional ones) now....about that GTR emblem.....sorry man, that's rice, but everything else isn't. Rice doesn't win car shows....but what he's doing with the interior(minus the gtr emblem) does....as long as you keep goin. go look at the car shows, and cars that win....who needs a playstation or dvd player in their car? is that rice? personally, I think his interior has the makings of a nice ride...now he needs custom leather/vinyl seats...minus the driver...cloth is the only way to go. Oh and when you add the passenger seat, don't forget to add the seat warmer....the ladies will appreciate it, especially when they have no clothes to keep warm!

240sxtreme, neon lights do not win car shows. sorry but your car is rice. GTR has got to go. If you like the lights, keep em, but theyre not my thing. can you post some exterior pics too? itll give us a better impression of your car overall

I think these guys are givin you a lot of crap for nothing. The interior? Totally phat. I can see some people not being into the gtr badge and the push starter, but ####, you put some work into that car with the twotone color scheme.

50 lbs of rice??? Where do you get that??

well, when the neon is off, you can't tell at all that there is any neon in the car, it's not like I stuck a 15 inch tube to the a pillars, like I've seen some people do.. It's turned on and off by a switch where my power mirror controls used to be (relocated to the center console storage area) right next to the button that opens my garage door =P

and besides, didn't you say that you really can't see it from outside of the car? i don't see what's so ricey when other people can't see it when they don't look for it. i bet the blue looks cool reflecting off the white part of the seats.

"I can't tell you what it is, but I know it when I see it." Okay, the Supreme Court was talking about pornography, but I think it fits rice too.

It is a subjective standard. One person's rice is another person's nice. Just like one person's Skinamax is another person's... well, no reason to go into my knowledge of hardcore porn...

Anyway, point is that what you find cool might be hideous to some of us - it's just a question of taste. Similarly, it might give someone else an idea to make their car more like their dream ride. To each his or her own. My rice threshold may be WAY lower than some others - but hey - it's nothing but an opinion either way. In other words, like I meant earlier - if it makes you happy and you don't think its rice, that's all that matters.

How's that for PC? Geez, I outta be a lawyer or something

the whole neon thing I think is a very thin edged line....I agree that neon cupholders and glow in the dark wheels/badges/etc...is rice, but I think what you've done is not too much. Seats look nice...you got the seat warmer right

I need to learn how to take off the dash to begin with. As soon as I learn that, I would love to do what he did. I have a faulty guage cluster anyways. Anyone know how I should begin to take the dash off of a 95 240sx.

Well the way I see it is...
You have something other than just a CAI, strut tower brace, and coffee can. An ECU is an expensive upgrade and we all know that ricers don't spend that kind of money on performance upgrades (ones you can't see). Also, you have some nice suspension mods to boot. Your car isn't rice at all...

Except for the GTR emblem.

Litmus test for rice: Are the emblems which you are flaunting going on the car (at the proper trim level) to which they belong? No? Then they're rice.

Question two: Did you then take those ricey emblems for a car you don't drive and then enshrine them in a lit case? Hooooly shit rice.

IMO GT-R emblems, silvia emblems, Type R emblems, whatever, belong on the cars they were made for. I don't care if you even have a GT-R engine in your 240, unless it's a Gt-R, it doesn't need the badge.

The neon is ricey too, I think, in the sense of ricey being "tasteless". Here's another litmus test, although this one admitedly restricts creativity: Could you picture that kind of modification on a more upscale car? You never see Ferraris with neon strips. It does look a lot more subdued in the video, but I still think it's too much. Neon doesn't belong on a car. Too ghetto.

I like the guages, I think. The idea of blue needles is cool, but it's hard to tell how bright they actually are. In the pictures they seem to be lighting up the whole guage cluster in a bluish hue, which is too much for me. But in the video they don't seem to be shedding light on anything else, just glowing blue, which is cool. Which do they actually do in person? Seems pretty cool.

I don't get why you'd want to make the panel for the gauge cluster white, but that's just personal preference.

Well, you asked, so that's what I think.

In the end, though, to each his own.

Just saw the interior pics now. What you did w/ the b/w color scheme and the seats is pretty cool. I like that.

Lose the pep boys style steering wheel cover, tho! If you've done so much other expensive stuff to the car, why not get a custom wheel? Or have your current one leather wrapped again? Whatever it's present state is must be better than the cover you've got on it.

BTW, is that an empeg you've got playing in the video? If so, I'm #### jealous!
