^^^^ I feel sorry for Mr. Potato Head. L.A. could have achieved the same record in my opinion if he was still there. If he didn't bench Kobe he might have stood a fighting chance. Idk what he was thinking with the princeton offense.

The offense and not having the respect of his players to even TRY on defense damned him. He lost the locker room and D'Antoni only barely had it.

At the time, I saw reasons that he COULD be the guy, but all of those reasons required that Kobe pretty much be the one coaching the team on both ends. To a point he did too, but properly motivating these jackasses to play transition defense or competent offense seemed to be an uphill battle

Then, I guess the D'Antoni experiment can pretty much officially be summed up as "shit hit the fan"
LOL at yesterday's tweets. Kobe pretty much saying this idiot doesn't know what he's doing. (Although, in D'Antoni's defense, I doubt Kobe would be saying go inside if he was playing). You can see D'Antoni trying to hold his anger in with a fake smile for tv and brushing Kobe off by saying "right now, he is just a fan" Oh man, Poppovich is going to school him so hard. |

Didn't know Kobe said that, but I do know you're right about Pau when D'Antoni went as far as bringing him off the bench. How do you have 2 talented 7 foot big men and not know how to use them? Especially one who plays dominant inside and one who plays softer and prefers to shoot mid range shots. You would think they would fit perfectly together.
I convinced that D'Antoni doesn't really know what he's doing. He just puts in guys who he thinks should be starting and hopes for the best thinking they can run his gimmick offense. |

Mike Brown will be rehired in Cleveland in their welcoming of LeBron James back to town. See, they had to make ol Sherman Klump collateral damage in the initial loss of LeBron to Miami, that way they could keep the fans interested while Black Jesus was down in South Beach winning MVPs and championships and shit. Forget not, though, that when LeBron arrived to Cleveland he promised that he dreamed of “one day bringing a championship to Cleveland.” He never said that he would be IN Cleveland when he won it, did he? See, he had to go to Miami for a few years to get the ring(s) to bring to Cleveland with him. When he finishes next season in Miami he will have at least two – because they ARE repeating – and perhaps one more ring. Then he can be reunited with Mike Brown and have NO responsibility to win games that matter and can break all of Kobe Bryant’s scoring records, more MVPs than Cheese Eyes--… err, Michael Jordan and he can close up the nasty hole in Clevelanders’ lives he left a couple summers ago. |

You would think D’Antoni could run some plays or have Nash try to play the pick and roll game with Pau or Howard to get them the ball. I’m not saying Nash = CP3 (especially at his age) and neither Jordan or Griffin can hit a shot outside of 3ft, but the Clippers are able to make it work. Pau and D12 are better than that duo and with Pau’s mid-range game, post game, and passing ability it should be easier to make it work, but D’Antoni pretty much says he has no use for Pau in his offense and benches him. It’s unfortunate (or fortunate if it helps get rid of D’Antoni) that the Lakers are playing the Spurs, because Popovich will expose how shitty of a coach D’Antoni really is. |

The NBA sometimes is the most perplexing drama.
Mike Brown agrees to five-year, $20 million deal with Cleveland Cavaliers, according to sources - ESPN I mean, you can't make this shit up! Maybe LBJ will go back to Cleavland to add to the oddest story in sports history of the Cleavland reunion. Its like hooking back up with an ex after she's been with someone else...awwwkwarrddd....

Facebook people are funny... there were at least 5 posts before I went to bed last night touting Carmelo Anthony as this season's MVP.
My distaste for LeBron is well worn, but the last thing I am is stupid |

I would hope not. Kyrie doesn't come off as a player that will loose it and give management ultimatums or demands to change the personnel (excluding player rooster).

Sam Amico makes a great point here:
NBA coach: Brown ideal for young Cavs Perhaps not having the pressure, pieces or expectation to win will be a better situation for Mike Brown this time in Cleveland |

Carmelo MVP supporters remind me of the people that claimed Derrick Rose was the best player in the NBA back in 2010. These people want so bad to find someone to battle against Lebron that they just close their eyes and point at the first person that has a good couple of games. Carmelo isn't even on the same planet as Lebron. Kevin Durant with a few more years of getting better could be in the same class but that's about it. 08-09 D-Wade was in the same class but he's no longer there as much as I hate to admit it -_-

Now back to Carmelo, I agree that he is not on LeBron's level. If I'm being honest, Kevin Durant is only one year of improvement from getting an MVP. Kevin Love was on his way to being one or two seasons out from it too before he got irresponsible about caring for his hands. If he had continued his ascent and taken Minnesota to the playoffs then the AP's obsession with crowning a white MVP would have taken him there... yeah, I said it. |

Melo needs to commit to his defense and conditioning… if he had HALF the drive of, say, Kobe Bryant or LeBron James, he would be a dangerous dangerous man. I am not saying he is out of shape, I am simply saying that if he would commit more of his summers to his actual craft and not his wife’s, he would be a force to reckon with in all facets of his game. Most importantly, defense.

Yup he's fat for an nba player! He needs to drop 15 pounds or convert some of it into muscle. If he could get into Ron Artest , LeBron shape ... he would be dangerous

Yes, he has a baby face. When he had corn rows it used to make him look fat and dumb like Kim Jong Un. Now that he’s clean cut he doesn’t look as dumb, but his face is still pudgy but not as much. (I guess if you are of thicker bone, having shorter hair doesn’t make you look as fat.)

Ugh Nash, Blake, and Meeks all likely to be out for tomorrow's game.
Throwing in the towel. This would be great material for an uprising type of story if they came back stronger than ever next season.
