First of all calm down, you seem to be getting alittle too excited over a conversation. I understand that you're a big fan of Kobe but it feels like you're taking things on a personal level, getting "irked" over what I'm saying. Jordan was not in the conversation, it was just Kobe and Lebron. So lets keep it there... HELL NO Kobe could NEVER play the role Lebron has been playing his whole career. What is wrong with you? Do you seriously think that if Kobe could play PG/SG and score 26+ per while also getting 8+ asts per game not to mention 8+ reb he wouldn't? Wtf are you smoking? Hell I remember Kobe pulling up from 30 whenever he got a chance to play his rookie year and it was also the main reason they would sit him at times. He never passed the ball to anyone during that time and he wasn't even in the rotation. Next you're going to tell me that Melo could do it too if he wanted to. ![]() Up to this point all you have given me is the excuses that a Kobe fan is going to give anyone. I gave facts, I even went as far as to post both players career stats Kobe's first 11 years vs Lebron's 10. Give me a break with all that I'm getting irked shit. Kobe has never been the player Lebron is because he can't do it. If he could, he would have done it plain and simple to think otherwise is asinine. Had Kobe only been 28yrs old right now you would have a great argument about him being able to switch his game if he wanted to but we have already seen Kobe's body of work and we all know what his limitations are so stop acting like I'm speculating because I gave you FACTS. Plain and simple if Kobe could at any point be the player that Lebron is yet chose not to do so, then he did a great disservice to his whole Legacy. Kobe said he wanted to be better than Jordan. Jordan didn't only play the role of scorer.... Just to put alittle more perspective in the conversation for you, D-Wade has better numbers than Kobe does in Rebs, Ast and Blks avg per and he's 6' friggin 4" and don't get me started on Jason Kidd before he became a spot up shooter... Point is your ROLE on a team is determined by your skill. Well... that's true on any roster other than a Mike D'antoni coached roster. Up to this point I have taken this as a friendly conversation amongst NBA fans but honestly I could give 2 shits if you're getting irked over my point of view because I have backed up everything I have said with facts. Kobe can't hang and that's why Lebron is the most unique basketball player anyone has ever seen, not my words but the words of NBA Legends that have played against all the greats including Kobe.... Now if anyone else has any facts that helps the Kobe argument I would be more than happy to read them because I enjoy the debate. But please lets stop with the "Kobe could a, would a, should a, I'm getting irked" crap. I would love to hear Phlip's point of view as I know for a fact that he can be incredibly objective but I'm not sure he's interested. It's a bet ![]() |

"I'm tired of the Kobe coula shoulda woulda"
and yet you've continually speculated with "Lebron coulda if, and so on" "Kobe can't hang' but i'm not being objective. lol dude seriously? I had a whole response written up, but this is just too hilarious. If anyone is sounding like an angry homer right now its you. We're done here. |

EVERYBODY shut the fuck up I am sick and damned tired of this coming up. There is no good reason to even continue this discussion other than to diminish the accomplishments of one player compared against another. The line is ALWAYS drawn at "well I'm a fan of the guy I says is better" and continues on with "I'm not saying the other guy sucks, but he sucks and I would completely fellate my dog in this fight if it means I won this argument." It has always gotten on my nerves and always will. |

The Warriors are my local hometown team and even I don't think they can beat the Spurs in a series. I'm just hoping the Warriors can win a game or 2 instead of getting swept. I know, I'm a bad fan, but I'm being realistic.

Noooo don't say that, I bet $20 internet on this series. GS will win the series. This game was lost by the Warriors, the Spurs had no business winning it. Even the last play was a missed assignment on defense. There is no excuse for them to leave Manu wide open like they did. If they can clean up their late game mistakes GS has a legit shot at winning the series but only if they win in 6. If it goes 7 the Spurs will take it.

No one is denying how good LBJ is, but you’re pretty much claiming LBJ has surpassed Kobe as a player while disregarding Kobe’s entire career of accomplishments and throwing his legacy into the garbage. I remember only up until 2 seasons ago (maybe even 1 season ago before LBJ won his first ring) that Kobe was regarded as the best player in the game and LeBron was just a choker, but now that LBJ has a ring and putting up some insane historic stats, you’re saying Kobe is nothing compared to him. LBJ just recently became the best player in the game! What’s worse is you’re stating a lot of “what if” scenarios (If LBJ had Kobe’s teams he would have.. etc.) rather than looking at the big picture of LBJ’s 10 year accomplishments vs Kobe’s 17 year accomplishments. You’re also using nine category stats (good for fantasy basketball roto league, you even brought up Kidd into this!) to back up your claims and belittle Kobe. If that were the case, Wilt Chamberlain’s averaging of 35/25 and Oscar Robertson averaging a 30/12/11 triple double for the season would mean they are elite. Like someone mentioned, you are omitting a lot of facts for Kobe and it’s pretty one sided. Propaganda! As quoted above, everyone is saying LBJ is a great player. Everyone is also saying they play different positions and have different games. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. The truth is, both are great players, but LBJ will never be the scorer that Kobe is and might possibly never have the killer instinct that Kobe has. Kobe will never have the all around game as LBJ. Some of it is based on things you mentioned (LBJ’s body, his strength, speed, and athleticism combined and I’ll say this for Kobe, his determination and work ethic). They are different players, let’s just leave it as that! In the end, rings talk… bullshit walks. You can compare and nitpick all day, but great players who never won like Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, all don’t really get mentioned much anymore. It doesn’t matter how you get the rings because everyone’s circumstances are different. What if LBJ only ends up winning 3 rings compared to Kobe’s 5 or what if LBJ leaves Miami? Would you be saying the same things or hating him? No one really brings up Jordan not being able to win in his first 7 years in the league and no one will say that about LBJ and his Cleveland days also. Everything else is just excuses or speculation. |

People have been comparing LBJ to Magic Johnson his entire career because they both put up good all around numbers. Magic’s position was PG, but he was freaking 6’9’’ and filled in for Kareem at center in the finals when Kareem went out. Both Magic and LBJ had the body and height to play multiple positions. I think for those reasons, people rarely compare LBJ to MJ. They were compared recently during LBJ’s historic 60% fg% streak and the Heat’s 27 game win streak coinciding with MJ’s 50th birthday, but I think they were comparing greatness, not who was better than the other. |

This is a total meltdown from the bulls...
Noah ejected...Taj is also ejected and most likely going to be suspended (David Stern's NBA). Mercy rule PLEASE! This game is a entertaining tragedy... |

Good god that game was a complete dumpster fire. Saying Miami whooped that ass would be the understatement of the year.
This Spurs/Warriors series though! This thing is turning into a classic! |

I think people are counting the Warriors out, After this game, I think under the right mindset and pace, they can go far against elite veteran teams.
Real bummed about that but it's becoming a fact or maybe I'm just exaggerating after one game, the Spurs are old men... That Miami game was lol. Can't say Chicago didn't try though, they are very short handed. |

I feel real good about my GS pick, they are just plain the better team. In both games the Spurs got down big. Had GS kept it together in game one they would be up 2-0 right now.
The Heat on the other hand started to play the Bully ball that everyone said the Bulls would be playing. When the Bulls saw this they started to lose their shit. I expect Friday to be alot close but damn Miami was up 46 at one point, wow! |

I'm kind of believing the Warriors can possibly beat the Spurs after watching yesterday's game. Ginobili did look slow compared to his former self killing teams and I think our kids are better than their kids. (Nothing against Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, Gary Neal, or Tiago Splitter. Spurs did pretty well picking up those guys in late rounds and developing them to be pretty solid players. They should probably give Splitter some pain killers and start him like they did most of the season instead of that 7ft 3pt shooting stiff Bonner).
I still have my doubts though as I find it hard to believe that as disciplined as the Spurs are under Popovich that they can have a complete melt down (even though they did last year against OKC) and drop a lot of games back to back, so if the Warriors can win the series will be a long grind it out 6 or 7 game effort. Scratch that, if it's 7 games, they are losing on the Spurs homecourt like I felt they would with Denver if it went to 7 games. |

Haven't we seen this story thrice before? Spurs have a great regular season, and then blow it in the playoffs. Last year up 2-0 to OKC and they blew it. Then the year before that again a great regular season record and lost to the 8th seeded Grizzlies as a #1 seed.

Yea, I know the Spurs haven't won it all since lbj went to the finals like in 2007, but I don't think this GSW team is as good as OKC last year or Memphis. Being a SF Bay Area native, it just seems like ever since Duncan was drafted, Spurs have always had the Warriors' number (and by that, I mean they would usually blow us out of games early and rest their stars in the 3rd or 4th). I guess watching Warriors suck for 20 years kind of does that to you. You kind of learn to expect only negative things with this franchise with little to no hope. haha
I will say Spurs looking old yesterday coupled with the Warriors youth does make the Spurs look beatable and lifted some of my doubt, but I still think the Spurs will adjust accordingly. |

Only problem is, there is no real way to adjust to 2 guys that can pull up from 30 anytime they want. Had Klay Thompson not got this 6th foul in game 1 this series could easily be 2-0. GS just looks like the better team up to this point and the Spurs look overwhelmed trying to match their athleticism. Looks like Memphis vs GS is very possible right now.
If I win the bet I want my internet $20 in internet pennies so I can swim in them like Scrooge McDuck. |

Yeah she killed him, he had a bunch of shit in his system and was found dead in his pool and from what I heard she didn't call the Police as soon as she found him. The funny part is that her online fortune teller told the Police that she did it. Who knows, maybe she will get her own reality show now.

I don't blame her, every gold digger knows their window of opportunity is limited. She wasn't getting any younger and had to speed the process up! She didn't score big like Vanessa Bryant, but I think she's done pretty well for herself turning over 4 husbands. Guy in the white shirt should beware. She's probably looking for one last big score!

Wait...
Carmelo was the only Knicks player to score in double figures? Stick a fork in them, they're going home next week and Mike Woodson will be blamed for the shitty play of the shitty players he was left with when they roster was gutted to get Carmelo. |
