This guy truly did this all on his own, and I do not have a logical explanation as to why. I don't think he really has anything other than he didn't like the red.... Or hes embarrassed about an ex (or someone else) doing that to the paint so he is saying it was him doing it. When it originally was at the shop (before being painted), the owner said he didn't like the red and was going to have it repainted... so who knows!

Here is his clutch that it was towed in for.

Ok. First of all, that's not logical. It clearly is STILL red. It's not like he "changed" it. Just now, some parts are reddish brown. That's vandalism, plain and simple. Sans the hood, the whole damn car is just a nastier version of red.

As for the clutch, that could be bath salts or cocaine or something. It looks like neglected. It doesn't look like he doesn't know how to drive. If he's a young guy with a good job, then maybe it's bath salts. But middle aged to older guys (mid 30's+) are more cocaine/heroin guys.

Insurance adjuster here. That is the most common fraud claim for a fire/theft claim and doing so will automatically get you investigated because it's super obvious. Most true car thieves just joy ride or strip the car.

Its like "oh you just so happened to be upside down on that car that mysteriously found up torched in the desert"
