Either way, props on the build...didn't mean to nitpick but that sort of 'little stuff' goes a long way.
Ya thats why im going to put the engine on hold for now I'm focusing on the conversion and chassis right now then suspension wheels and brakes. I'll most likely rebuild the engine before I drop it in. And the orange silicon eh I think it gives it character but if you were to buy nissan oem silicone it will be about the same color just for your info.

I thought about it really hard and well I had the s13 rad support already drilled out and well the whole reason why I did that was for the sole purpose of no turning back. I'm going to go through with the conversion, and I think the only way I can pull this off is if I go widebody and slam this thing to the ground. Wheel fitment is going to be crucial here thats why I'm goin to bang the rears to 70mm and the fronts to 30mm kind of like what Ill garage did on that s13.5 I'll get Meisters so fitment will look allot like it but slammed more and most likely a different tire choice, I dont like theirs.

Holy shit man!! your so thorough. How many silvia builds have you done out of interest?

Keep up the sick work. Can't see how people question you about suspension I cant see much of this car remaining stock (apart from chassis) and even that has been chopped and changed haha AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

This is my first build thread the only thing close to a build that I did was a video on youtube, which I'm sure allot of people have seen, when I was 16 and did my first engine swap. It's an sr20 swap into a 240sx surprized? I absolutely loved the car, but in late 2008 I had totaled it. Heres a link to the video enjoy! YouTube - ‪240sx sr20det swap‬‏. Ya suspension is always brought up on other forums I posted this build thread at I keep telling people i'll get to it, but I do things in phases and I try not to mix it up, for example if I'm working on suspension that's all im working on until it's completely done. Everyone is just so anxious and I don't blame them because I am too.

With as dirty/baked on as that looked, it would only behoove you to go all the way.

I wouldn't buy new OEM Nissan silicone either, FSM calls for Ultra Grey or equivalent. Again, love the work, but there is nothing more irritating to me than seeing an engine with orange silicone all over.

To be honest its really least of my worries i mean when the engine is in I doubt ull even notice it, and I plan to rebuild it so i'll remember to take ur advice into consideration

Hahah Ya I bought the whole kit from a guy here on zilvia super good deal I had to jump on it asap. Since dmax usa shut down I didn't even try to bother to ask the guy if I can just buy the sideskirts and rear bumper only. I plan to sell the 180sx type III front bumper, and as for the s15 front bumper... I should be receiving it sometime next week.

I'm blown away by your attention to detail and workmanship. Great build! IMO you should just build the motor before putting her back in after seeing all that sludge on the valves. It's like wiping before you poop it just doesn't make sense.

Cool

I had to revise this section due to webshots shutting down and losing most of my photos.
So i started too dissassemble the engine once again, but except this time I'm going to rebuild it . I really don't need to go into detail about how to tear it down externally since I previously mentioned it earlier in my thread, but here is the whole reason why I've decided to rebuild the engine.

the outside of the motor looks so clean, but the inside looks like poopy, good choice to rebuild.

I guess it could be fine, but I wouldn't risk it. What are your rebuild plans? Tear it down and check everything or actually get new bottom end parts?

My plans are too tear it down and replace everything necessary to stock minus the arp rod, head, and main bolts I also plan too replace from oem too aftermarket... hks head gasket and cam gears. My power goals are 300-350 hp which I hear is safe for stock internals.
