Why not just start with a camaro, regal, cutlas, monte, el camino, firebird, monza, vega, foxbody, fairlane, gto, galaxy, fairmont, etc. Swap would be very straight forward, theres gallons of parts for all of those cars to drop a 327 in them, but you wont be the "trendy different kid" like all the other "trendy different kids." Plus youll get into something that the sb 327 is good for, drag racing. I mean besides being a boat anchor or turning left. But thats just me being a realist so please go back to being "different" and actually spend some time on your headers so they work and dont rob your 327 of power its not going to have anyways when your side ways because its not getting any fuel cause your running a carb. Sorry to be that guy but somebody had to say what everyone else was thinking.

from what I understand, you can run a marine carb and there will not be a fuel slosh/starvation issue.
I don't really have an issue with the swap, only the execution of the headers. |

First of all, I drift, i am into drifting, and i plan on drifting for the rest of my life. Not drag racing. Second, i'm not building this car to be "trendy different kid", am small block chevy is simply the cheapest reliable way to make tons of torque normally aspirated. Third, the boat anchor joke really makes you look even more stupid because if you think the weight difference of iron heads to aluminum heads is really going to be NOTICEABLE then you must be very inexperienced... Assuming that you are talking about the heads and not the iron block because there are LS based engines that come with iron blocks which are BETTER than the aluminum blocks if anything other than saving a few pounds is the goal... Fourth, about the ignorant "turn left carburetor" joke, you should google "roadrace carburetor". Yes, there is a such thing as a "circle track carburetor" but there are also carb'd engines that road race, drift, turn right, etc...lol If you buy the correct carb, there is not going to be any fuel "sloshing" to one side of the carburetor. Please write something back that is not so ignorant after you get on google. And about the headers guys, they are a temporary fix to get the car driveable for a drift event on the 22nd-23rd of March. I will only be making about 350hp so its not like the headers are going to be "too restrictive" for 175hp. |

Sweet looking project. Zilvia is filled with a bunch of self proclaimed mechanic masters. Water on your back. Keep at it. There is actually a white s13 coupe with the same swap in virginia/NC, and imagine that, he drifts it as well.

i think if there was an adapter plate for z32 trans to small block readily it would cut the cost of the swap down tremendously.
keep at it, very interested to see how this progresses and some dyno numbers too

^^Someone has already done it in a Z32...let me see if I can dig it up. The cost was actually not too cost saving plus it used a flywheel spacer which I would hate to use.
In for more progress. |

UPDATE:
I have the car turning over just fine with fuel pressure, but no spark yet, I'm still working to fix the issue, definitely a coil/distributor problem... |
