I agree about the gap, and I also enjoy the extra space. My solution was to keep both, I installed electric fans with a mock shroud (used a free one that was already damaged so I could cut half of it apart) that slips in and out 20 seconds.

And before I got around to all this cleaning and space filling

Only time e fans make a bae look cooler is if you have anodized pulleys and an engine clean enough to eat off of. Otherwise cover up that mess with the shroud haha.

This. Mine is clean because it's freshly put together, but I still like not seeing that shit down there.

I'm still waiting to see someone with a sleeper setup running something like a GT2871r or newer GTX turbo...

With a sidemount I can't see it being very good unless it's just simple daily driving. I'm running a 2871 but Im also running a fmic

wonder if you could run an fmic like this, but just run the oe upper piping. paint the lower piping and intercooler black and no one would notice iirc greddy (???) used to make an upgraded intercooler kit that utilized the oe piping. maybe it was someone else, but someone did...

That's a post from 2015 lol. But this is a good thread

I want to say that's just a flipped top mount but 99% of the ones I see are T3 flange? Could just be custom made.

I know that JGS or someone like that was working on a SOHC bottom mount T2 manifold at one point, showed a prototype on KA-T.org, but it never went into production. Searching on KA-T.org any time anyone asked about T2 manifolds or bottom mount the hive mind would just yammer about how good their T3s worked.

Edit: did some scrolling back in the thread and some more looking on ka-t. I think this was the Jordan Gladman manifold. His websites are all defunct but the one pic I can find looks like this. Doesn't fit with A/C.
