300zx aluminum uprights worth doing/using ?

I’ve been searching the forums and net for a few days and I cant seem to get a straight answer so I thought I would just ask and take the risk of being flamed.

Im doing the rear 5 lug conversion and brake upgrade on a s13 (E-brake and all) and I just need to know is it worth/should I be using the 300zx aluminum uprights, and does using it make the 5 lug/brake job any easier. ( I took the whole assembly of a junked na 300zx)

I don’t want to take it to a shop where they could rape me so I just want to learn myself. I’ve seen post that say you have to find shocks with the correct lower mount and/or I would have to modified the upright/lower mount. What shocks have the correct lower mount? Can't I just use my Apexi WS coilovers/dampers?

Any help would be appreciated

please don’t refer me to "The Definitive 300ZX Brake Swap!" (importnut.com)
