Turbo Noise: sounds like a horn!

when running high boost (10-14 psi) between 4500-6500 rpm. The noise seems to be coming from the exhuast side of the engine. The car still pulls fine, everything seems normal except the loud noise that sounds like a car horn. I have recently replaced ALL of the exhaust gaskets and the noise is still there...although it sounds different since I installed the Greddy Turbo extension.

Anybody got any ideas? Is this normal? I haven't really driven any other turbocharged cars to compare. I have a crappy video that you can hear the noise in but I haven't found a place to host it yet. Thanks guys!

a more descriptive break down on the noise would help besides car horn. but check ur gaskets. i recently replaced my gaskets but my turbo inlet gasket already went out and makes a loud noise around high rpms.

blown turbo!!!! ...or on its way out...thas my guess. if it was an exhaust leak it would sound like a fart...or a ppssstttt followed by a fart. idk....check for shaft play.

I'll check the gaskets again...but the noise has been there since for the past 25k miles...(not that I have been driving it at 10 psi or above all that time, just whenever I turned up the boost) I will also check for shaft play as well I hope the turbo's not going out...I've been spending about $500-1000 every month for the last 3 months trying to keep this thing running!

If anyone knows where I could host this crappy video lmk...that'd be better than any description I could give.
