Intake Manifold Secondary Butterflies
I am going through the process of removing all my emissions from the intake manifold, when I came across these. Now should I remove the actuator and leave the plates inside the runners, because I am guessing as long as they dont have a vacum line they'll stay open right. Please correct me if I'm wrong and tell me what I should do.
Thanks people

If I remember right they are closed untill vacuum is applied. All you need is some anaerobic sealer and a small oil gallery plug to plug the hole left when the actuator is removed. You take off the screws holding the plates onto the rod and a screw in the center then pull the rod out.

![]() Let me explain myself again. I know how to remove them, I just forgot to do so and now it's kinda late. I did remove the rest of the emissions stuff, now the question is if I plug a vacum source to the actuator of these butterflies from the Intake Plenum is it gonna operate normal?
Thanks ![]()
