im running 2 1/4 piping cat back,(cat removed),to a tanabe tunable muffler. it sounds pretty fuckin bad, inside the car it sounds bad ass especially at higher rpms with a delta cam, but outside the car it raspes and wobbles the sound out. i dont know if its because the cats out not enough back pressure, not mandrel bent, or its the muffler. im going in tommorrow to fix it but have two options. 1-brospeed resonator just to quite it down im getting sick of the fuckin sound, or 2- put in a mini glass pack which he said will change the pitch. is there anyone out there running straight pipe like mine with a glass pack or know anyone, does it quiet it down, change the pitch, does it sound good, or should i just put the brospeed on? anything will help. thanks

i was thinkin of getting a resonator but then it might affect hp(air flow within the resonator would flow in there which is not optimal)
Why dont you just buy a silencer?

what do you mean by a silencer? you mean a tunable tip or like a resonator/muffler thru the piping. I dont care about losing hp the cars gonna get sold soon, i just want to be able to live with the sound, do you think putting in the glass pack would change the pitch maybe take out the raspiness?

I had the exact same problem... I went for the glasspack.

Sounds okay now. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
