Question 1:
Yes, all 240/silvia shifters are the same, and I have heard they are also interchangable with the R33 Skyline.

Question 2:
No, the Japan spec "silvia" has the SR20 engine I'm sure you have heard much about.  Exhaust is different since it is a different engine.

Yes, you can absolutely use a cat-back exhaust from the SR on a KA.
The shifters, like 240sig said, are also interchangable between the SR and KA.
"I also heard that you can put a SR20DET downpipe on the KA's" huh? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'> That won't work.

Yup...shifters are all interchangeable, and so are the exhausts. &nbsp;Think about it...The Dual N1 was designed for an SR. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
