bleed it again, and bleed the m/c too.
if they are junkyard calipers they could be fucked. alternatively, your master cylinder could have gone to shit if its an old one. wouldn't be the first time. |

How did you bleed your brakes? Besides the order calipers your suppose to bleed in...did you build pressure on the pedal?
After I did mine, I stepped all the way on the pedal when bleeding the brakes...which was causing the brakes to work only when the pedal was almost to the ground. So second time around I stepped only half-way or where I would like the brakes to start grabbing and that solved my issue.

Then that is what your missing...you have to do this to build resistance (or pressure) within the brake system. You won't get any air in your system given you keep your foot down half-way and whoever is underneath tightens the bleeder screw once all the air is out. BTW....for a solo job I highly recommend speed bleeders. I have a set and I did the job faster than with two people.

Make sure that the bleed valves are not on the bottom side of caliper. If they are, you need to switch the sides the calipers are on. I wouldn't be suprised if this was the problem. ![]() If thats not it, try bench bleeding the MC and use teflon tape on all of the fittings between the hard lines and flex lines. |

i ended up buying a reverse pump with a container thing at a local kregan store..pumped out the air and got it done...i know there were the other ways..but..i had enough..and bothering some one to help me out was a pain..but with this...all it did was it sucked out the air outta the system pretty much a recycle device..anyways thanx for all your help!

I dont have quite his problem but similar. Got the R33 GTS-T's fronts on only. (still waiting on parts for the rears) A little concerned. The pedal has some travel to it. Unforunately I had to make an emergency stop (figures, hrs after I did the install) And the pedal travel was hesitat and pretty soft. It did stop though. They stopped fine in normal crusing mode but that emergency stop took some time.
The only thing I didnt do was bleed the master cylinder should this be done? How do you do it? Also I didnt blead the intire system. I just did the front calipers I swapped. Could this be the problem as well? thanks.. |

when i first bled my old Z32 calipers it was kinda soft and mushey, then i got super blue fluid, ends up it takes LONG AS HELL to do a complete flush of the system. and i found out that supposidily due to the way the lines are run the correct bleeding is cycle is lt rear, rt rear, rt front, lt front. it's all about getting massive amouts of air out of the system.

for s13 nonABS, u want to bleed from the left rear first as tenchuu stated because it is the farthest line from the MC.
our hard lines come down the right frame rail and then split for the rear left and rear right calipers. The rear left is farthest away from the MC (not physically, but if you follow the hard lines, it is)
