i can hear it. i agree, the first thing i thought of was when the tv is on, but the cable box was off. no picture, just that annoying ass high pitched ringing. my mom however, cannot hear it. lucky her. shit hurts my ears.

23 and I heard it. Agreed T.V. noise, or ringing in my ear after driving for a day without my exhaust silencer in and the stereo cranked up.

Crazy. That is about the last thing I want to hear every day. Just a notch or two below Harleys and crying babies.

I am sure most of you know this already, but what happens as you get older is your ear drum looses its elasticity. First thing to go is high frequency stuff.

actually I could here it all the way almost down to mute. and one of my ears right now is messed up, i cant hear much out of it, if this continues i may go to doctor, while ive also been told im hard of hearing, but I think being able to hear this, and being just hard of hearing, are two different conditions. Its funny becasue in my spanish class last week, the teacher turned the tv off, that was on tv/video. so it had a blue screen, well it turned itself on again, no doubt because her old hands pressed the button twice by accident, so it immidately went back on. then we all knew before it warmed up the blue screen since we could here it, but she just went on her way like it was off, only till she saw the blue screen about 10 minutes later did she turn it off again, also my mom when she goes to bed will try to turn off the tv, only to turn off the cable box instead, thinking its off she goes to bed. Right when I come down in the morning im like WTF is that loudass piercing noise, its the damn tv, I'm only 20 but maybe one day i wont here it either.

Mjjstang, where do you work if you have a job? You said school, so that could be a factor. You are around people talking all day, your brain will become less sensitive to sounds you hear constantly, especially if you are thinking about something ( like at school ) So some part of your brain is not paying attention when someone talks to you. Obviously I don't know what is happening for you, but that is a possible factor.

Yeah sounds like damn ringing I get in my ear too...that would drive me friggen crazy...I always put my phone on vibrate in class,and have it against my leg....nobody else hears it around me?


EDIT: I'm 19 I hear it...not really loud and clear,but I would know if it was my phone or not...but then agian,if there was a fucking classroom full of those things going off,...whew my head would be killing me...

ugh my ears hurt.. i tested it on my mom (shes 52) and she couldnt hear it unless she was really close to my speaker.. and it was almost at full blast..
