Maybe someone can help me pin-point this...
Got into a fight with a curb last month. I hit both front and rear tires on a curb messing up the front suspesnsion pretty bad on the passenger side.
So I replaced nearly everything on the passenger side front. I looked at the back but did not see any damage to suspension. I replaced all the wheels and got new tires. Had a 4 wheel alignment done. All is good, cept the car feels kind of jumpy or skid-is when I go over bumps. I also tried kicking the rear out and I felt like there was maybe more grip then usual but also it sorta felt jumpy. When theu did the alignment the guy said that "something" must be bent in the rear because he was just able to get it into specification. Maybe that has something (or verything) to do with it. So, any suggestions. Anyone experience this? ![]()

Well I got on it a little more on my way home trying to feel it out. ONLY when I turn left the rear wheels hop harshly instead of sliding. When I turn right it does not do that.

Ok here are the rear specs:
Left Rear Actual -1.53 0.06 Before -1.86 .25 Spec Range -1.00(?) -.6 .03 .21 Right Rear Actual -.95 .10 Before -1.10 .68 Sec Range -1.60 -.60 .03 .21 Unfortunatly I'm not familiar with this stuff enough to comprehend it... There is also a total toe and also thrust angle if that helps any. Oh and to clearify it's when I turn right that the wheels hop and also when I went over some train tracks this morning.

Hey I've been through the same situation. Whenever I would make right turns and try to kick out the car, I realize that my wheel would skid then hop, Making it very hard to counterback because you dont know how hard it would kick out to the right. I also hit a curb pretty badly days ago.
You said you replaced "Nearly everything" on your front suspension? What exactly did you fix? all rods and bushings? Was there any repairs to the rear suspension? What suspension do you have? and is possible if you have damaged it? and FTR, Could it possibly be the new wheels and tires you have mounted on? My problem was the rear control arms, and bushings. I replaced them, and it helped aLOT with the jumpyness.

I replaced the front right, strut tower assembly (whole thing), control arm, tie rod, steering spindle. I did not replace anything susp. components in the rear. the wheels and tires I have were all mounted and balanced. The guy did tell me that when they did the rear alignment he said something must be bent back their because they were just bearly able to get it into spec. Everything is stock BTW. So, sounds like I have to replace some rear susp. components huh?

hey exit, do you happen to have subframe spacers? the metal type I meant?
Also, I think the old bushings around the multi-link suspension may have taken a dump after you hit the curb. Another possibility is the traction rod/link - since you said the car would try to hop, making it unpredictable when you try to bring the rear accent out.
