Fuel pump help

Hey guys I'm pretty sure my fuel pump took a crap on me but i'm not 100% positive so I would like to get some feed back and see what you guys think.

While I was making a left on an exit the car started to spudder then it reved super low for a couple of secs and then it died. I tried to start it again and it started for another couple of secs then it died again. It wouldn't start after that.

I checked the plugs and wires and mafs and those all seem to be fine. I took the fuel line off of the fuel filter and tried starting the car to see if fuel was coming out and I didn't see any fuel come out. Any advise would be helpful

Thanks,
Kevin

Its kinda hard to tell without a fuel pressure gauge. All you can test for is flow, but flow doesn't have to be closely related with pressure. You didn't specify what kind of car you drive, so i'll give you generic advice. Find the fuel pump relay, and bypass it. If the fuel pump works, fuel should come out the fuel line. The fuel pump may be on its way out (like on my car), where it will still pump fuel, but it will never produce enough pressure.

Stick your head in the trunk and have a friend turn the key. You should be able to hear the pump priming.
