As much as I love to bash the ricers and street racers that are on this site we are SOooooo much better than the other ones... Has anyone ever been to Project.Nissan.240sx.com Someone on that site made a post "Is it possible to have lights on a 1990 240sx hatchback that don't pop up?" Oh jeez... Why would it even matter if it's a "hatchback" ... that doesn't even have to do anything with the lights, let alone the front half of the car... Oh well this is off topic so it's not like it matters if I criticize. Really, and while im in the mood for complaining why does everyone call fastbacks hatchbacks.... I mean we're not civics, well sure we arent mustangs (who coined the Fastback name in 1967) but still... hatchback just sounds so pansey.

First, fastback ARE hatchbacks. If the rear windshield opens...its a hatchback.

this doesn't have to do with other 240sx boards, but since i'll be recieving my blazer xtreme in less than two weeks, i thought i take a look at the local car clubs, online communities and message boards. holy lord. i must have read through 10 websites and 5 message boards (all were S10 xtreme sites, couldn't find blazer sites), most people are riceboys. (ooh i said RICEBOY&#33<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

I think that board is a couple months behind everyone. I opened it up and at the top of the list I see someone linked that whole argument at corvette forums. I know you all remember that when some guy in a civic was trying fight for imports and beat some cocky corvette owner.

That was posted in march its june, someone needs to update these people.

I know what you are talking about.  "Ricers" (often young kids) that will put on some altezzas and blue Honda symbols.  Furthermore, kids that put an intake and exhaust on and think their ride can smoke any other car.  I saw/heard it everyday at my highschool.  I just shrugged off the comments and ignored the ugly lookin "riced out" Hondas.  I knew that I was going to get a nice car that is clean with the go to back it up.  I also wanted (still do) a unique car, not another Civic.  I finally found that car - Nissan 240SX.  Now, I want to make this car clean and nice looking (S15 conversion).  I think this looks better, would you call it rice to convert an S14 to an S15?  You also speak of noobs and SR's.  I guess you could call me a noob to this forum, but why are you calling it "rice" or something to put a better engine into the 240SX to make it fast, not just some stickers and some tint to look cool?  I wouldn't consider the S15 conv and the SR20DET "rice" mods, just please look around at almost* every Honda, before you make these statements.

nobody ever said anything bout an SR or S15 conversion being rice...  after 4 new topics about the same conversions every day it gets kinda redundant.

what im tired of is kids with civics saying "WHY DONT YOU GET AN SR" and im like "Im getting the CA" and their like"CA WHATS THAT, IT MUST SUCK, get the SR and the s15" im like "-.-"

Thats why i want s14 converson if i ever do it, if i get rich and actualy want to do it, and i want the ca, ill be DIFFERENT

Out of curiosity Oni, why would you want to do an S14 conversion?  It would probably cost more to do the conversion than it would to just trade in your car and spend the extra dough on a real S14.  That's the reasoning behind the S15 conversion, it's cheaper than getting the real thing (since you would have to import it and pay all sorts of crazy fees), not only that, but the S15 headlights are hella sexy!!!

He said if he gets rich he will do it. The S14 conversion on a fastback looks really nice. Most of you probably saw that red S13 F/B that had the S14 lights, it looked really nice, except needed some sort of grill b/w the lights.

EDIT: Yay 600 posts, I realy need to start doing something else besides message boards

I like zilvia.net better than freshalloy.com mainly bc im sick and tired of people flaming each other and putting each other down. Not that any board is immune from it but it can certainly get out of hand. well now this is confusing, first you agree with me, then you disagree with something i didn't even say. nowhere did i say putting an SR in a 240SX is rice. oh by the way, i'm having an SR installed by the end of summer if i decide to keep my 240SX so you must be thinking about someone else.
