I've been goin around to different shops trying to get a price for the wheels i want (Racing Hart M5 3-piece). The first piece of b.s. i heard was that 18"s were too big so i went to 17"s, but then the second piece of b.s. i heard was that i couldnt have 17x9's in the back. They said it was too wide. I'm confused because i've seen several 95-98 240's with 17x9's in the back. For example, the newest issue of TURBO has one with 17x10's. Chris May's (the maroon 240 in Sport Compact Car) had 17x9's. What the heck is going on. I'm thinking these shops dont know what they're talking about or maybe i dont. Could somebody please tell me the truth!

It's possible that the racing hart rims you want don't have the right offset to let 17x9 fit. You can absolutely fit 18's, you can even fit 19's, but I wouldn't recommend it because it increases rotational mass.

Also, unless your car is lowered anything larger than 16" will make your car look lifted.
