so yeah..I live in Tulsa, OK and I can get away with killing as many trees as I want...but we might relocate our company to SoCal..if I turboed my KA here, what are the odds of me getting away with emissions in cali?

very unlikely...  if you do custom exhaust, put in two cats that can be dropped right after emitions.. you should be good.. also, if you run REAALLY lean.. u'll pass,, but it's not real great on the engine..

ok sticking two cats on is ridiculous period. If you retain the majority of your smog setup with the Turbo than if you  lean the car out it can pass smog no problem its the visual thats a kicker but if you wind up here in socal I have someone that will pass you  on tailpipe.
Oh yeah you might also be in luck because you have an out of state car. which means they may or may not want you to put Ca emission equipment on it. It might be a referee situation especially if you say you bought the car with the Turbo already in it:biggrin:

ca emisson test has to parts. a visual and a emission...the ka-t will probubly pass emission but not visual....excpe tif greddy makes the kit...cuz greddy is the only carb legal turno kit so far :*(
