We swapped over my buddies normal dash to a HUD and it took about 1 1/2hr.

There is 2 bolts behind were the Tach sits. First I would start by taking out the Tach and the Surrounding. After that I would drop the steering column. 2 Bolts under the steering wheel. Then, Remove the vents at the top of the dash, there are 3-4 screw's. Then Take the Glove Box out. Then remove Passenger kickpanel and one more screw is there. After that, just disconnect the passage ways for the air/heat vents and you should be able to take it out. Lemme know if you have problems. *a

Look in the FAQ and find my tach swap thread. It will get you halfway there.

The rest is nuts and bolts. The hardest thing would be trying to get the dash vents out without damaging them.

It should take about 2 hours your first time if you're careful. I can swap mine in and out in about 5 minutes or so.

Are you removing the entire dash to replace it? Then check the old threads on here. Search is your friend. Just know that what you're asking has already been addressed here. I even responded in previous threads with the same link.

But to be nice/helpful -- http://www.jdmrice.com/tech/dash/dash.html

Its step-by-step, can't get any easier than that.

Also, the dash vents "g6civcx" mentioned are long/skinny/thin ones at the top of the dash by the winshield -- 4/6 screws underneath them after popping them off, I believe. He's not talking about the ones above the HVAC controls (if you want to take those out, do it when you remove the dash, much easier to push out from the backside.)

Good Luck.

I removed mine in a few hours, and put it back in an hour --- though I did replace it with a black one. =) (Pics are in my thread somewhere around here)

If you don't have arms. Swapping a dash is a 25 minute job, period. For a novice an hour is being generous.
