turbocharger question...
hey, i bought a turbo that was supposedly off an rb26 for my car and i was told it was a t28. well, i have what i think/thought was a t28 on my car already and they dont have the same trim sizes or anything plus its way smaller. mine says a/r 60 on the compressor housing and 64 on the exhaust and the one from the skyline says a/r 42 and 48 on the exhaust side.
i bought the one on my car from option imports and i was pretty sure it was a t28 but from looking at garretts webpage im starting to think it may be a gt28. can someone give me a definate answer on what the skyline turbo should say on it so i can make sure i didnt get ripped off? i dont know alot about this stuff so if more info is needed to answer my question please let me know. thanks, nick

IIRC, RBs do use T28s but they dont fit on SR/CAs. Cant remember exactly why tho. Do a search, i know this has been covered before cuz i remember reading it.

i belive they were t28/t3 hybrids, and the reason the dont fit is because they have a problem clearing the stock manifold and the turbo has studs rather than the manifold having studs
