i was running 11:1 in my Kouki and never had any issues with starter. i wouldnt waste your money on it. it seemed to me that it cranked bit slower then usual but who cares it does the job of starting the car

Yeah the only people who tend to upgrade thier starter are the high compression v8 guys. I have personally never heard of any 4cyl guys having problems with the stock starter not being able to turn the engine over.

Just run a high quality starter. Cheaper ones don't crank out as much power.

If you have a low cranking amp battery then it won't be able to supply the voltage to turn your motor over. So grab something like an optima.

Take it to a local alt./starter rebuilding shop. A good one should be able to add more windings to make it produce more power. Look for shops that make high output alternators.

I would get one if you want a really cool sounding start like a high end sports car. If you notice on the high end cars the starters are really nice and you dont really hear them. They just turn the key and "money"!
