How do you remove the 3rd brake light cover to access the bulbs?  the black around it is chipping and so I also need to repaint that trim.,

thanks!

Open the hatch and pull off the trim panel that covers the bottom.  There are little plastic clips that hold it on.  To remove them pull out the center part and then the outer part.  Once this is off you can look inside the hollow between body panels and see the back side of the light.  If just changing the bulb give the plastic holder a half twist and pull it out.  If you're changing the whole light then you should see a couple of nuts, 10mm if i'm not mistaken.  Take those loose and then pry lightly from the outside or push from the back side as there is a double sided tape/sticky gasket material around it.  Then bam, light is out.
