no you cant, if you have a warped head you need to have it straightened. if you just resurface flat again, then when you bolt it onto the block, the cam towers will no longer be straight and your cams wont turn.
this all depends on how warped your head is. and when taking it to a shop you need to consider how they are going to straighten it out. the most common method is to bolt it to a plate and then heat it up in a oven. this isnt a very good way to do it, as it takes the hardness out of the metal. the way we do it at my shop is to use isolated head to relieve the stress in necessary spots, they should never have to raise the heat at any one point to above 300 degrees. |

i dont think the block warps as easy as the head. for one i think the block is iron(ka atleast)and the head is aluminum so the head would be not able to take alot of heat without warping.
