a buddy of mine came to me and asked where he could find one... i told him to see if Bosch makes one...

any suggestions or personal preferances?

where could one be purchased, and what is a reasonable price?

he said he was looking for 1.5 horse

I just used a Makita die grinder this past week.  Works great.  For the most part, I have had the privilage to work with Makita power tools and I love them.

They range anywhere from $30-$200 depending on the power and brand.

Most die grinders are air powered...  I guess you could call a Dremel a die grinder but with more optional fittings.
