I just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not I should get a cheap electronic turbo to bolt on to my '96 Ka24de.  I really don't want to spend all the money and hassle with an exhaust driven one.  Does an electric one even work?  Any tips would be great.  Thanks...

I think you are confusing an electronic turbo with an electric turbine.

An electronic turbocharger has an electronically controlled wastegate actuator.

A electric turbine is a weed whacker hooked up to a compressor.

If your talking about one of them things on ebay, i'd say no.
There has been plenty of discussion of them already recently, just search back a couple pages

NO, the best "electric turbo charger" on the market can only "boost" 1psi at MAX, which is just about nothing, they are a complete waste of money, dont bother with them.

Get some streamers and a bell they would do about the same.

i have been thinking about this also.  Mybe by taking two electric turbin style motors from somthing like a washingmachine/dryer.Getting a power inverter playing with them to put out alot of air.  then hooking them up the intake.
Just for kicks untill i figure out if i want KAT or SR.
any ideas?
