MOTHER F'ING brake booster removal....

I've removed a few brake boosters...everyone i've delt with connects to the brake pedal with a simple pin(slides through) and a clip to hold it in place.

I'm trying to remove an abs 95 240 brake booster. I have the little clip out but i can't get the dowel out for the life of me...wtf am i missing?

The dowell thing is flared on the side that the clip was on. I grab it with a pair of needle nose to compress the flares, and start putting it through.

blackparade is right, the clevis pin has a plastic piece on the end that needs to be pinched to get it to go through the hole.

I recommend getting a new clevis pin and clip from the dealer. Then you can cut the old one off if you have to.

Be careful because it's easy to lose the clip. It likes to fly off when you remove it from the clevis pin.
