![]() S14 1995 240 with an S13 blacktop 5 spd with an E5 ECU.
First, whats the difference between an E5 ecu and a 62 ECU? second, I can see no visible LED on the ECU at all. I located the adjusting screw... ACC position, turn screw, wait a couple seconds, turn it back, nothing happens. ![]() I believe the CEL should flash in unison with the LED, but it doesn't. Is this ECU not capable of this diagnostic test? Am I missing something stupid? Thanks |

the e5 is from an s13 black top they dont have an led. and #62 is red top ecu for a manual trans 63 is auto. and an e6 is auto trans blacktop no led. If you have a friend that has a red top ecu you can use that to check it out

Thanks george, I thought it might not have an LED. Does the CEL not even blink, then? I don't have a friend with a red top ECU, only a KA ecu. Is there any way to check without spending big bucks on equip?
